In-person and online counseling for anxiety, stress, and burnout

On the surface it looks like you have it “all together”, but underneath you feel constant worry, stress, and self-doubt.  Maybe you have even had a lot of success, but still feel that you are never doing enough or don’t really “belong”.  Even the smallest decisions leave you feeling overwhelmed and unable to act.  Sometimes you might struggle with sleep (even though you’re exhausted), feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders.  Or maybe your body feels tense, finding it difficult to relax.

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • Do you feel constantly overwhelmed and exhausted, yet also constantly worried you are still not doing “enough”?

  • Does the inner critic rule your life?

  • Do you beat yourself up when things go wrong?

  • Are you effortlessly kind to others, yet mean to yourself?

  • Do you feel like you overthink everything?

  • Do you struggle to set boundaries with others or feel guilt when you do?

  • Do you find it difficult to stay in the present moment?

Do you want to finally feel “good enough”?

Counseling can help build a kinder, more compassionate inner voice and break the cycle of stress, burnout and overwhelm.  Together in therapy we will explore tools to help reduce anxiety and worry now, develop strategies to reduce anxiety in the future and dive deeper into understanding the causes of anxiety and stress.

Some of the main challenges I can help with:

  • Anxiety

  • Low self-esteem

  • Low self-worth

  • Perfectionism

  • Overthinking

  • Boundary setting

  • Burnout

  • People-pleasing

  • Emotional exhaustion

  • Self-compassion

  • Chronic stress

  • Compassion fatigue

  • Secondary trauma

  • Trauma

What does starting counseling look like?

We’ll meet for our intake session to get a sense of what your needs are, what to focus on and how I can help.  I am truly excited to help clients who want to build a kinder, more compassionate relationship with themselves and find more balance and ease.

You may feel nervous and maybe even skeptical if counseling is for you.  Know that this is normal and you are not alone.  I want to honor what you feel comfortable sharing, at what pace, and what you want to focus on.  You are the expert on you (even if you might not totally feel this yet!) and I want to nurture the innate strengths and wisdom you have.  With compassion, gentle encouragement  and a dash of humor, I help you find your inner encourager and give yourself permission to care for yourself.   After meeting for our first session, we will continue to build a collaborative plan to help address the struggles and challenges in your life.

What is online counseling like?

I provide all of my telehealth services online via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

Telehealth provides flexibility and helps reduce barriers for seeking counseling.  It can be helpful to find a private space to meet.  Also, make yourself comfortable!  Want your pets close by for comfort? A warm cup of tea or coffee?  Great!

Reaching out for support and starting therapy can feel difficult!  Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with and is a good fit is important.  I offer a no-cost phone consultation to allow you to ask questions, get a sense of my style,  and see if we are a good match.  If we both determine it’s a good fit, we will schedule an intake appointment.
